In 2023, Vim was looking for a summer job to save money before his next year of studies. Despite applying to multiple places, Grill Hero was the only company to reply. With a renewed spirit, Vim quickly became one of the top technicians and the territory manager’s go-to guy. The job evolved for Vim, being less of a summer job and more of an opportunity to grow and learn in the customer service and entrepreneurial areas. In 2024, Vim returned to Grill Hero as a Team Lead. With more responsibilities and technicians to manage. This was the last bit of experience he needed before he realized he loved the Grill Hero community and the opportunities it had. In April he was introduced to the franchise opportunities, having already trained others and cleaned hundreds of BBQs, the entire process became condensed and easy. Vim had already become a rising star in Niagara, offering exceptional customer experiences, reservicing repeat customers and converting people from “I’m just going to try it” to “I’m using Grill Hero every year”. By the end of the summer, his new career path was set: Opening Grill Hero Niagara. Outside of taking Niagara’s BBQs from Grime to Shine with No Mess Left Behind, Vim is a II Dan Tae Kwon Do player training for his next tournaments and an avid basketball fan. As Vim looks ahead, his major goal is to turn Grill Hero into a household name, like many other home service brands
